Hvar Island, Croatia

Sheesh! It’s been a long time since we’ve blogged last. Our hostels haven’t had internet like I’d hoped. We went to Hvar Island to a small city called Jelsa, a two hour ferry ride from Split. Because we’re traveling during the off-season, there weren’t any buses going from city to city, so unfortunately, we weren’t able to go see the sights I wanted. Jelsa was still a nice little quiet town. We ate some great pizza and got ice cream, as well. We wandered throughout the city and found some beautiful scenes. This was also the first time that we used Pete’s nice camera. Until now, we’d been using the point and shoot cause it’s so easy to cart around. But its battery was dead. I had fun playing on Pete’s camera this time around.

I think the picture with the bench looks like a great place for us to cut and paste pictures of us sitting there, like we are with you on your trip…if only I could cut and paste pictures…more great pictures, thanks!

Ooo! I love all of the old churches. Mr. Words wanted me to tell you hello and he misses you dearly Pete. πŸ™‚

  3. You guys are inspiring me to backpack through Europe for summer vacation next year πŸ™‚

    • Do it Jaimie!! We’ll be somewhere in Europe next summer, so if you go where we are, you could stay at our place for a bit! Hostels get so expensive in the summer. 😦 Where would you go? Would you go with someone? I wouldn’t recommend the travel alone thing!
